3rd January 2012

Welcome to 2012!!!!!

With our breeding season over we have 3 very exciting foals due in 2012

Diptford Amazing Grace IMP x Turberry Tom Kitten IMP - Due 31st August 2012
Glyndebourne Morticia x Rosedale Eton - Due 30th October 2012
Blandford Dancing Queen x Beckside Little Toff UK - Due 21st November 2012

At least two of these foals will be for sale for register your interest at eliza@wdmoore.com.au

Grace finished off an amazing Australian show career winning Supreme Champion Part Welsh Exhibit at the WA All welsh Show again under UK judges. The comments we received were amazing. We could not have done any of this without the help of Luke Dawes and for that we will always be grateful!!!!

We will have two small ponies coming out in the show ring in 2012. Roseraie Betwitched as an under 11.2hh Open pony and Lead Rein and Thorne Parks Songbird will be broken in shortly and she should come out after August. This will be an exciting prospect as it will be our first Thorne Park we have followed through to a ridden career for some time.

Other than that all has been quiet over the Christmas break and we will be back to showing shortly.

Wishing friends a safe New Year and we look forward to catching up soon.

13th October 2011

Well, what a couple of weeks we have had!!!!!

Firstly we have had our small show team attend the Perth Royal Show. And we are absolutely delighted to say that our exceptional Diptford Amazing Grace IMP was awarded Supreme Champion Riding Pony Exhibit. At just Gracie's 2nd show led, we were absolutely delighted with this result. So very well performed under saddle (winning the 2009 UK HOYS Champion Show Pony), we were thrilled that she also "has it" in hand. We can not thank enough her handler Luke Dawes for the spectacular job he did with our girl. You are a star Luke, thanks for everything.

We also took our little Welsh A girls with Fairy Glen Enchanted getting 2nd in her Welsh A yearling Class and the beautiful Llanfairbryn Eirian obtaining 6th in a very competitive Welsh A Mare class.

Thorne Parks Philadelphia was placed 4th in a huge Arabian Derivative Mare class and stable mate Brayside Shakira getting 3rd for a very proud owner Emma Dunn.

Thorne Parks Poetry, the exceptional moving gelding out of Kinlieth Primadonna and owned by Danielle Cuijpers also did not disappoint after his Intermediate HOTY win at the EWA HOTY with very high placed in his RP and Part Welsh Classes.

We must also congratulate Chrissy and Kayley Bell with TP Song & Dance for winning the SHC Newcomers award for 2011.

On the breeding front, things are well on track for a super season. We are eagerly awaiting our only for to be born this season out of Kinlieth Primadonna by Penmain heir Apparent. This foal is due on the 20th of October and should mature galloway. It may be available for sale, so please register your interest.

We can excitedly report that Diptford Amazing Grace IMP, yesterday got a positive preg test to Turberry Tom Kitten IMP. This foal will be a 3/4 sibling to the sensational filly we lost out of Grace in February as Tom Kitten is by Cusop Dimension the sire of Graces last foal.

Glydebourne Morticia has been inseminated back to Rotherwood Peter Pan (UK) for a hopefully a full sibling to TP Little Darling whom we lost in late 2009. This filly was all quality and we were so very devastated to have lost her, so fingers crossed for a filly!!!

Blandford Dancing Queen will shortly be AI'ed to Beckside Little Toff (UK 's top lead rein/1st ridden producer.) We were fortunate enough to obtain this semen and all going to plan it will be only the 4th foal born in Australia by Little Toff.

Our last seasons foals are going brilliantly with TP Charmed I'm Sure settled in his new home with Felicity Rushby and looking exceptional, which we always knew he would. His half sister out of Blandford Dancing Queen (also by Stanley Grange Cocksure UK) TP Sure to Dance is the most exquisite filly and we can not wait for her to come out next year as a rising 2 year old.

Our brilliant little Roseraie Bewitched has been broken in by the talented Anna Duffy and we can not wait for her to come out under saddle and for Erin (now 3) to start riding her. We will probably aim for Newcomer 2013 if we can find a child rider to take her there as Erin will be too young.

17 August 2011

Well, again I must apologise for not updating our website. So much has happened and I haven't informed people of what is going on.

The most prominent news for 2011 so far has indeed been the sad loss of our beautiful Cusop Dimension filly out of Diptford Amazing Grace IMP in February. This much anticipated foal was sadly laid to rest as she was born with complications to her jaw effectively making it impossible for our lovely little girl to drink or eat in the future. She was an exquisite dark brown filly with the longest front like her mum and the cutest nature. Grace as her name suggests was beautifully Graceful during the ordeal and for a first time mum allowed us to do things to her that seasoned broodmares would not allow. RIP little girl.

But onwards we have been been traveling and Gracie bounced back and competed at her first show in Australia just 4 weeks after losing her baby and did not disappoint winning Champion mare and Supreme Riding Pony at the Orange Grove Breed Spectacular in March for handler Luke Dawes (who worked with Grace in the UK). She also achieved Top 5 of the show and with more that 300 entrants on the day, was a very impressive result.

Our breeding season only saw one mare return in foal and that was Kinlieth Primadonna who is due at the end of October to Penmain Heir Apparent. This foal may be for sale and should be Galloway. Our 2011/2012 season will be a busy one with Grace going back into foal along with Blandford Dancing Queen to Beckside Little Toff (UK) and Glyndebourne Morticia being returned the Rotherwood Peter Pan (UK). for a full sibling to TP Little Darling who we lost in 2009. We also hope to get Primadonna back in foal for 2012.

Erin has begun her riding career at 3 with the gorgeous Welsh A mare Llanfairbryn Eirian who has been kindly leased to us by good friend Denise and also making her home at Thorne Park is her Eirian daughter Fairy Glen Enchanted.

We have some stock for sale including Blandford Dancing Queens filly by Myscal Encore. This is the first filly to be made available from this 5 times Grand national Qualifying mare. She was sol but due to buyer default is again offered for sale.

3rd January 2011

Welcome to 2011 and doesn't time fly!!! It has been FFFAAARRR to long since the site has been updated...but be prepared for a barrage of information, news, foals and updates!!!!.

It has been a wonderful breeding season for us, with two of our three foals on the ground so far. The first was a stunning colt out of our brilliant galloway mare Glyndebourne Morticia. This colt by the superb UK stallion Stanley Grange Cocksure is all quality and will make a superb Galloway in the future. He is bay with a small amount of white on his head and white on both hinds. He is spectacular and totally worthy of his name TP Charmed I'm Sure. He will be for sale, only due to lack of riders, so register you interest.

The 2nd will just be the most spectacular small pony in the future. Also by Stanley Grange Cocksure and out of the highly decorated Blandford Dancing Queen. This Chestnut filly is all style, class, type and quality and we can not wait to see how she matures. She has been named TP Sure to Dance and at this stage will be retained as a future small pony for my daughter Erin.

The last....and still to arrive is out of the stunning Uk imported mare Diptford Amazing Grace by Cusop Dimension. This is the first foal by this stallion to be born in Australia with only two others by him residing here. We must remind all interested parties that if this mare throws a colt, it will more than likely be on the market. Just under 7 weeks to go (due mid February) and the nerves are already getting tense. However she looks spectacular albeit a little unusual with this magnificent front and head and a big fat baby belly. After knowing what she can look like at her very best, we can not wait to bring her back into show condition for 2011....for whatever it holds.

2010 saw some of Thorne Parks ponies excelling in the show ring. They included TP Song & Dance (owned by Chrissy & Kayley Bell) who was a sensation both led and ridden as was awarded Led Large Show Pony of the Year for the 2nd year in a row at the SHC HOTY. The other was the highly decorated colt TP Poetry owned by Danielle Cuijpers. This colt was awarded Supreme Champion and SOS awards on many occasions during the year and I am sure he will continue his winning ways under saddle.

Our colt Ascot Magnum Silk has been sold to a wonderful and Top show home in WA and will soon be gelded and commence breaking in. Thankfully not before he got two mares in foal and we were able to collect semen from him. The other to find a new home is TP Dance Folly (Myscal Encore x Blandford Dancing Queen) with  more details of this sale to come - at the buyers request.

Good luck to all in 2011 and we look forward to our show team and catching up with friends
